Les tableaux de calendrier:
Our morning and afternoon activities start with Calendrier and Tableau
de maths. These are speaking activities that help students immerse into
the French language that is spoken through the day. As well, they learn new and
master already learned concepts in Language and Math.
The photos on the side bar show what the Calendrier
and Tableau de maths displays look like. You can ask your child to tell you how
we do this in class.
For the first couple of weeks I direct my students in
doing these activities. Later in the year, they will have to perform them on
their own. This will contribute in part to the evaluation of their speaking and
math skills.
On pages Le français and Les mathématiques of this blog you will find a detailed explanation of the two
activities. Please feel free to ask questions.
Je compte: We'll
be counting days of school with traits and Canadian money.
Place Value Chart: We'll be
counting until the 100th day of school with the help of this chart and continue
learning place value afterwards.
Le bocal des billes: Every
time we do well as a class, Madame puts marbles into the jar. When we have 100
marbles, we'll have a surprise.
Quels temps fait-il? We'll be dressing Froggie Chloé appropriately for the weather outside.
Curieux le
clown: The curious clown helps us recount stories and our experiences.
